LIZZY CARE

ROLE DETAILS

I became the Social Media Content Manager for Lizzy Care, working in a remote setting on Slack while being a college student at the time.

I synthesized complex information about Medicare and clinical studies into digestible social content to simplify healthcare information for caregivers. I specialized in multimedia storytelling by repurposing long-form webinars and podcasts into reels, making expert family coaching more accessible to our audience. Additionally, I amplified brand authority by highlighting NPR mentions and award wins while managing partnership content to expand our community.

Creative Vision

While the Lizzy Care brand identity is anchored in blue, I maintain a dynamic visual balance by utilizing our full secondary color palette across the grid.

To keep the brand feeling present and community-focused, I adapted our logo in variations such as Halloween and the winter holidays.

Our primary audience consists of older adults and elders, so I centered my content on accessibility; prioritizing high-contrast designs, legible typography, and the brand’s minimalistic feel. This applies to my task with designing one of our old booklets to be printed out for customers and partners.

Creative Assets

Video Content

When we hosted our webinars, I identified an opportunity to maximize the expert insights of CEO Dr. Marc Rothman by repurposing the long-form Zoom recordings. By condensing his detailed responses into 30 to 60-second "quick-take" clips, I successfully transformed dense clinical information into our highest-performing Instagram content to date, significantly boosting engagement on a platform that previously had low traction.

To ensure this series stood out from my previous podcast work, I intentionally pivoted the visual style. I navigated the challenge of static recording footage by leveraging royalty-free stock B-roll and background music to maintain high viewer retention. This approach kept the audience visually engaged while prioritizing the professional and informational integrity of the expert advice.

Medicare Webinar

CEO Dr. Marc Rothman answers frequently asked questions from a webinar he hosted about Medicare’s new dementia benefit, while explaining how the Medicare GUIDE model can assist caregivers based on eligibility.

Sponsored Events

For our collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, I developed a unique content strategy to highlight the Intergenerational LEGO Competition. My goal was to promote cognitive brain function and community connection in a way that felt both fun and impactful. By focusing on the "serious play" aspect of the event, I was able to showcase how tactile activities improve brain health while bringing different generations together for a shared cause.

To bring this sponsorship to life, I captured the energy of the competition through dynamic reels that emphasized both the joy and the health benefits of the event. I prioritized a fast-paced, engaging edit to reflect the "fun" nature of the event while ensuring the educational message about Alzheimer’s awareness remained clear.

Repurposing Podcasts

For the "Memory Matters" podcast series, I repurposed the audio and focused on making clinical neurology digestible for a general audience. I curated high-impact snippets that explain complex concepts and then prompt the watcher to get the full answer on our Spotify.

To elevate this podcast series, I designed a cohesive visual identity that prioritized clarity and accessibility. I utilized clean typography and professional portraits, paired with dynamic waveform graphics and steady-paced captions to ensure the content was easy to follow, even for older viewers. The addition of a QR code CTA at the end of the reel was to bridge the gap between social media awareness and deeper learning, encouraging the community to engage with full episodes for more comprehensive support.

Dr. Samuel E. Gandy is a featured expert who gives insight into the biological impact of amyloid proteins in the brain. As part of the Memory Matters podcast series, the video is repurposed into a fresh design, while keeping it under 1 minute for socials.
